Thermo-isoplethes

Thermo-isoplethes visualize very clear the progress of the temperature. Starting point to realize the visualization are measurements on an hourly basis. The resulting diagram consists of two axis: one step on the x-axis represents one day, one step in direction of the y-axis represents one hour.

The legend of the temperature is kept equal the whole year within a range from -20°C until 40°C. In this way the progress of the temperature can be easily compared within different months.

How do I create a graph of thermo-isoplethes?
